idverde South East completed the landscaping for Westgreen Construction, on Cadogan’s new, award winning Duke of York Restaurant in Chelsea.

The winning design was chosen from 150 architect’s entries from across the world following an international design competition. idverde Housebuilder were privileged to be selected to install the soft landscaping to the beautiful, circular roof terrace.
Created by Westgreen Construction, which chose idverde (formally TCL) as its landscaping partner, the restaurant marries modern design with the architectural heritage of the surrounding area.
The project wasn’t without its challenges. Harnesses were required to install the planting to the roof terrace which meant only operatives with this license were permitted. Protection of the handrails was a priority whilst lifting in plants and we were informed that the white walls were to be kept immaculate, no easy job when dealing with soil!
The installation process was time consuming with the harnesses and we were required to work closely with the
Architect, who set out and arranged each of the individual plants prior to installation. The planting was extremely
specific – no substitutions were permitted and in contrast to most other jobs, our operatives were told to blend in so no
obvious PPE was allowed. idverde is now looking after the maintenance contract.
