Over 125 parks in the idverde portfolio awarded the coveted Green Flag Award – recognising them as among the country’s best.

Prestigious Green Flag Award is the international quality mark for parks and green spaces.

idverde, the UK’s leading provider of grounds maintenance and landscape creation is delighted that more than 125 of the green spaces it manages across the UK have been given the Green Flag Award.

After two years that have seen our parks and green spaces play a vital role for people through lockdowns as a place to relax, exercise and meet friends and family safely, the news that so many of our spaces have achieved the Green Flag Award is testament to the hard work and dedication of the teams across the UK that work in partnership with our clients to provide essential, diverse and much-needed green spaces for local communities.

idverde’s awards come from right across the country, including six London boroughs, the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, Regent’s Park and spaces in Shropshire, Rother, Somerset and East Staffordshire.

“This is fantastic news for our hard-working teams and our client partners,” says Richard Burton, Chief Operating Officer, at idverde. “Our focus is on working with in-house teams to create spaces that work for communities at all levels. From new habitat creation to amenity areas and everything in between we are dedicated to sustainable nature-based solutions that promote biodiversity and give people health local spaces that are a pleasure to use.”

Commenting on the news that so many idverde parks have met the Green Flag Award standard, Keep Britain Tidy’s Accreditation Manager Paul Todd said: “I would like to congratulate everyone involved in making all these outdoor spaces worthy of a Green Flag Award.”

“These sites are vital green spaces for the community in each area. This award is testament to all the hard work of staff and volunteers, who do so much to ensure that it maintains the high standards demanded by the Green Flag Award.”

The Green Flag Award scheme, managed by environmental charity Keep Britain Tidy under licence from the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities, recognises and rewards well-managed parks and green spaces, setting the benchmark standard for the management of green spaces across the United Kingdom and around the world.
