#GroundsWeek - idverde

The return of the GMA’s Groundsweek, an annual awareness week takes place 28th February – 6th March 2022.

idverde, who work tirelessy to maximise the potential of sports facilities is proud to officially support #GroundsWeek 2022. The annual awareness week is hosted by the Grounds Management Association (GMA), a leading, not-for-profit, membership body for grounds professionals and volunteers. This year aims to attract more grounds staff and volunteers into the sector through the week’s activities.

After the launch last year, the focus will be on the fulfilment that working in the sports sector can offer, highlighting that people with jobs in the outdoors, including grounds staff, are more fulfilled than those who work indoors. With grounds management and turf care so vital to the delivery of sport, #GroundsWeek offers the opportunity to take a moment to reflect on the industry’s successes over the previous year.

To celebrate the week, idverde will be showcasing the work our amazing team here have completed over recent years, highlighting the hard work that goes into maintaining and supporting sports facilities and green spaces across the UK. As the sole supplier of hybrid turf Mixto in the UK, our team of specialists offer a complete sports surfacing service. This spans from the design stage to personalised site specifications and from supply and construction to maintenance and aftercare.

‘GroundsWeek is such a great way to celebrate everything everyone in the industry does for sport across the UK all the way from grass roots sports to supporting some of the biggest names in the country, helping them maximise their potential. At idverde we have a great team of specialists who have decades of experience in the industry, who are so passionate about what they do. It’s more than just a job, it’s about going above and beyond, sharing our experience to transform sports facilities and ensure that people can play to the best of their ability on the surfaces we provide and maintain.’ Head of the Sports Surfacing Team, Steve Tingley.

Geoff Webb, CEO of the GMA, says:‘Many of us spend many hours at work throughout our lives, so it’s really important that we care about what we do. Grounds management is such a varied and rewarding role and we want to make even more people aware of the industry and its potential. We’re extremely grateful to have the support of our members and partners who make this possible by supporting #GroundsWeek. By collaborating with us, it helps the GMA respond to industry challenges and learn how it can help to help tackle them.’
