Hastings floral dragon

Visitors to St Leonards near Hastings are in for a surprise this summer when they see the seven-foot tall floral dragon display that has been created by idverde on behalf of its client, Hastings Borough Council!

The display contains almost 6,000 plants, including Alternanthera Green, Altananthera Red, Echeveria, and Chlorophytum and caused quite a stir when it was unveiled in June, with many people stopping their cars to take photos, and a feature appearing in the local newspaper.

We’re now looking for a name for this new local celebrity and have opened a competition in partnership with Hastings Borough Council to give the dragon a name. The competition is open to under 16s in the area, and we’re offering £50 in high street vouchers to the winner. If you or someone you know would like to enter, please visit our Name the Dragon Competition page for full details and terms and conditions.
