The Project

Organising play equipment inspections at 197 schools over four months while adhering to Covid regulations required careful planning.

idverde’s team began by dividing the allocated schools into regions and contacting each school to arrange the inspection. Due to the large number of schools to be covered in a short time frame, the schools were allocated a three to four-week time frame during which their inspection would be carried out, rather than a specific date and time. Fortunately, the schools involved were very understanding about this requirement, with very few being unable to accept the play inspector.

Once the inspections were carried out, our team reviewed the reports for moderate and high risk items, subsequently quoting for approximately £160,000 of rectification work to enable the play equipment to be made safe for the children’s return.

Despite the challenges of Covid-19, our teams have delivered an efficient play inspection service to schools, with over 70 schools already engaging our services for next year’s inspections. We look forward to working with them again in the near future.
