IOSH Managing Safely Training
What is IOSH?
The Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) is the world’s Largest
Health and Safety body and the producer of some of the most common
and recognisable Health and Safety training courses in the UK.
It introduces managers at all levels to the different aspects of
managing safety and health in the workplace.
It provides the knowledge and understanding to manage health and
safety issues within their responsibilities and reinforces why good
health and safety is essential to performing their roles successfully.
IOSH Managing Safely is the ‘standard’ in Health and Safety
qualifications for managers and supervisors who manage people.
The four day course equips attendees with the knowledge and
understanding of Health and Safety to enable them to perform their
role, from a Health and Safety perspective.
The Different Modules
• Introducing Managing Safely
• Assessing risks
• Controlling risks
• Understanding responsibilities
• Identifying hazards
• Investigating incidents
• Measuring performance
• Protecting our environment
Why Choose idverde?
idverde is now an approved ‘IOSH Managing Safely’

management teams as well as external ‘customers’ and clients.
idverde has to date, provided this course (through an external
provider) to almost 150 internal candidates to deliver the policy
aim of ensuring that all operational managers and supervisors are
trained to this standard as a minimum.
Now that idverde is accredited to provide this training, it can continue in
ensuring this standard is maintained as well as offering this course
to clients and other customers who may be seeking this training.
As a training provider, idverde can now be really flexible in how it
delivers this four day course to increase learning and understanding,
as well as minimise the impact of four days off site.
idverde is listed on the IOSH website (under the name of our legacy company, The Landscape Group), under training providers, as an organisation that is accredited to provide this course.
