Our tree work team members will hold the appropriate evidence of training or certificates of competence for their role, and will all be subject to an on-going training programme.

In general the team will share all tasks to encourage individual development and so that the development of the team as a multi-skilled unit does not rely solely upon the particular expertise of any one single member of the team.

However, certain complex tasks that require specific evidence of competence may have to be left to the individual team member with the appropriate award or qualification.

The AA publication “A Guide to Good Climbing Practice” provides much of the underpinning knowledge for the suite of chainsaw certificates of competence and risk assessment training available in the arboricultural community and so will be adopted by idverde as best practice.

For each task to be undertaken, our team leader reviews the work site, prepares the dynamic risk assessment and agrees the control measures and method statement that will result in the task being carried out with the minimum risk of harm to persons or property.

Tree brash and green waste are, wherever possible, taken to our green waste processing centres for co-mingling with other green waste feedstocks and conversion to high quality horticultural products for re-use on our contracts.
