Southwark Council Approves Four-Year Contract Extension with idverde

idverde, the UK and Europe’s leading provider of grounds maintenance and green services, is delighted to announce that Southwark Council has approved a four-year extension to its grounds maintenance contract.

The extension builds on a long-standing and successful partnership spanning almost 30 years, during which idverde has worked alongside Southwark Council to maintain and enhance some of London’s most valued parks and green spaces.

The carbon-neutral contract generates more than £1 million in annual social value through local employment, volunteering, apprenticeships and work placements and boasts 30 Green Flag parks.

Aidan Bell, CEO of idverde UK, said:

“We are incredibly proud that Southwark Council has placed its continued trust in idverde with this four-year extension. This decision reflects the strength of our partnership and, most importantly, the dedication and professionalism of our Southwark team who work tirelessly every day to maintain some of London’s most important and well-loved green spaces.

I would like to personally thank every member of our Southwark team for their outstanding commitment, as well as our colleagues at the Council for their collaborative approach. Together, we have delivered real environmental, social and community value for the borough, and we are excited to build on that success over the next four years.”

This extension marks the next chapter in a partnership focused on creating places where people and nature thrive, ensuring Southwark’s parks and open spaces continue to be safe, welcoming and environmentally sustainable for residents and visitors alike.
