idverde Supports Royal Wootton Bassett Community with Equipment Donation

idverde is proud to announce a new initiative to support the newly reformed “Keep Bassett Tidy” (KBT) Group and Royal Wootton Bassett Town Council, helping to boost their community cleaning efforts.

In partnership with Wiltshire Council and the “Don’t Mess with Wiltshire” campaign, idverde has donated a full range of free litter-picking equipment to the group. To assist volunteers in keeping the town’s streets and parks clean, we have provided essential safety and operational gear, including branded bags, litter hoops, and hi-vis jackets.

Empowering Local Volunteers

This donation is part of our commitment to supporting local environments and empowering community-led action. With the group now fully stocked, this equipment will be instrumental for volunteers during upcoming Community Litter Picks.

The support has also facilitated several operational improvements for the group:

  • New Storage Solution: A new storage box is now in place to house the equipment, ensuring efficient and flexible access for volunteers.
  • Increased Capacity: With the new inventory from idverde combined with existing supplies, the group can now support significant events or multiple smaller picks simultaneously.
  • Accessibility & Efficiency: A new system for collecting blue bags next to public council bins is now active. This supports litter pickers with physical limitations by eliminating the need to carry heavy bags across town, allowing them to focus their energy on cleaning key areas.
  • Strategic Support: Additional resources have been allocated to clearing main roads and installing signage, allowing community volunteers to focus on other specific locations.

Client Feedback

Matt Aldridge, the newly elected Chairman of the Keep Bassett Tidy committee, commented on the impact of the collaboration:

“I just wanted to say a massive thank you to you all for helping our litter picking project reach the next stage. It is very much appreciated.”

“With the addition of the new equipment, storage unit, and bag collection system, we now have a setup that makes our plans more achievable, especially for large group events.”

“The key to longer term and lasting success will involve communicating directly with every resident and local business. By inspiring action at the individual level, we can eventually shift the focus from reactive litter collection to proactive care of our shared spaces.”
