idverde UK (via its subsidiary company, Quadron Services) commenced its Green Space Services Contract with Wycombe District Council in January 2013 for a five year term.

The partnership contract incorporates grounds maintenance elements for Wycombe’s major parks and open spaces and includes

  • Maintenance of parkland and open spaces, including hedges, shrubs and flower beds;
  • Cemetery maintenance, including the burial process;
  • Inspection and maintenance of the district’s play areas;
    Fully maintaining the contract buildings, including pavilions, changing rooms and depots;
  • Woodlands maintenance.

We also manage eight allotment sites on behalf of the Council. For further details of their locations and to apply for a plot, please see the Allotments page on Wycombe District Council’s website.

idverde is working with Wycombe District Council and local stakeholders to provide a number of innovations during the life of the contract. These include the introduction of independent monitoring schemes so that volunteers and members of the public can provide feedback on the services being delivered.

We have also commissioned the Sports Turf Research Institute to review pitch quality and recommend regimes to bring them in line with IOG standards, and have pledged to increase the number of Green Flag accredited sites in the district.

Cllr Katrina Wood, Wycombe District Council’s Cabinet Member for Community, says: “We’re delighted to be working with Quadron [idverde] to provide green space services within the district. In partnership with them, we want to continue to meet and exceed the high standards that our local residents have come to expect and enjoy from our play areas, parks and green spaces.”
