About Us

Covering approximately 32,260 hectares, the District of Wycombe encompasses extensive rural areas. Together with the major urban centre of High Wycombe, the riverside town of Marlow, and many villages and communities.

There are 385 hectares of parks and recreation grounds in Wycombe District including Green Flag-accredited Higginson park and The Rye.

idverde commenced its Green Space Services Contract with Wycombe District Council in January 2013.

The partnership contract incorporates grounds maintenance elements for Wycombe’s major parks and open spaces and includes

  • Maintenance of parkland and open spaces, including hedges, shrubs and flower beds;
  • Cemetery maintenance, including the burial process;
  • Inspection and maintenance of the district’s play areas;
    Fully maintaining the contract buildings, including pavilions, changing rooms and depots;
  • Woodlands maintenance.

We also manage eight allotment sites on behalf of the Council. For further details of their locations and to apply for a plot, please see the Allotments page on Wycombe District Council’s website.

Over the course of the contract idverde will support the Council in delivering its Sustainable Community Strategy, with initiatives to reduce water consumption as well as composting green waste and supplying bedding grown in peat-free compost. Three apprentices will be employed on the contract, contributing to local sustainability and retaining skills within the local area.

We have also supported the local community in setting up a new ‘Friends of’ group for The Rye park.
