idverde UK (trading as Quadron Services Ltd) has provided green space management services to The Royal Borough since 2002, and was very proud to be re-awarded the contract in January 2008 for a twelve year term.
The Borough has won Gold in the London in Bloom competition in six consecutive years from 2006 to 2011 and has ten Green Flag sites. These include Gunnersbury Cemetery which won Gold in the London in Bloom Awards in 2011- 2013 and 2016, as well as being crowned best in its category of Large Cemetery in 2012, 2013 and 2016.
In 2013, we were presented with a prestigious Principal Award from the British Association of Landscape Industries (BALI) in recognition of its high standards of maintenance in the Kyoto and Fukushima Garden within Holland Park.
There has been significant investment in the Parks, Open Spaces and Cemeteries both by the Royal Borough and by Quadron Services. In recent years there have been a number of large capital investments in the Borough, including a state of the art wet play area at Kensington Memorial Park, a complete overhaul of Little Wormwood Scrubs (resulting in a Green Flag for the first time in 2011), a new play area and toilet block with green wall and roof at St Luke’s, and an improvement in the play areas and infrastructure at Westfield Park (again resulting in a Green Flag for the first time in 2011).
The partnering contract includes managing and maintaining the prestigious Green Flag accredited Holland Park with its famous Kyoto Japanese gardens, social services sites throughout the Borough, and all parks, gardens, cemeteries & grave digging, maintenance of sports pitches, shrub, flower and rose bed maintenance, parks patrol and security, building cleansing & sports management including booking services.
The CORMS quality system we use to manage the contract is ISO 9001 accredited. Testimony to the success of the partnership is the BALI Principal Award for a Multiple Site contract, where the judges remarked on the “sheer enthusiasm” of the team involved. Further accolades include continuing success with London in Bloom competitions and the gaining of an additional Green Flag for Kensington Memorial Park.
