Litter collection at Meiyume (UK) Ltd

idverde, in partnership with Wiltshire Council, received a request from Ceri Parkin, Continuous Improvement Director, at Meiyume (UK) Ltd, asking for support for a local litter pick. We were only too willing to help out and arranged a delivery of the litter picking equipment and arrangement of waste collection. . Collected three black bags which have been left in the car park area near the bins for collection.

Ceri Parkin, commented: “As a major employer in the Trowbridge area, a number of employees wanted to contribute back to the community and get involved in litter picking in the public areas adjacent to the White Horse business park. With support of Wiltshire council and idverde, they were provided with the equipment.

During their lunch break they embarked on their first litter collection walk and collected three black bags of rubbish. Meiyume as a company are strong on supporting mental health and can now combine walks with tidying up the local Trowbridge area. As they spread the word through the business, they are hoping more people will get involved in the initiative”.

idverde’s Community Engagement Manager for Wiltshire Council, Paul Ashman, commented: “We welcome our community partnership initiative. This partnership has been formed between idverde, Wiltshire Council and Meiyume (UK) Ltd. We were pleased to be able to offer our support to both the Meiyume (UK) Ltd and the local community with this project”.
