idverde, the Europe’s leading provider of green environmental and landscape creation services, has made a £5,000 contribution to the Assura Community Fund, a charitable initiative established by Assura PLC, that supports health-improving projects across communities where Assura’s healthcare facilities are based.
Since its launch in 2020 the Assura Community Fund has distributed more than £3 million to local projects focused on reducing isolation, improving mental and physical health, and supporting young people. The fund is managed by Cheshire Community Foundation, which raises and distributes resources to hundreds of small charities and voluntary groups across Cheshire, Warrington, and beyond. Leveraging contributions from Assura’s partners and suppliers, such as ID Verde, plays a vital role in ensuring the fund continues to deliver meaningful change in communities across the UK.
While idverde’s donation forms part of the wider communal pot, the kind of impact it will help achieve is illustrated by projects the fund has already supported. For example, when the fund was first established, a £5,000 grant was awarded to Achieving Results in Communities (ARC) CIC in Coventry, close to ID Verde’s headquarters. The project brought residents together to create greener, healthier neighbourhoods and people of all ages took part in planting and food growing, developed skills through workshops and transformed shared spaces into welcoming community assets. The initiative reduced isolation, improved wellbeing, and gave participants the confidence to get more involved locally. By linking environmental improvements with personal development, the project left a lasting legacy for both people and place. It serves as a strong example of the kind of activity future business support could help bring to life in local communities.
