idverde UK clients strike Gold in the RHS Britain in Bloom competition

idverde UK’s clients had a fantastic day at this year’s RHS Britain in Bloom national finals on 14 October, coming away with four Gold Awards and a Silver Gilt.

The idverde UK clients who scooped prizes were:

  • Sefton Council for Southport (Gold and overall winner of the Coastal Town with a population over 12,000 catagory);
  • Charnwood Borough Council for Loughborough (Gold in the Small City category)
  • Birmingham City Council for Birmingham in Bloom (Champion of Champions category)
  • Colchester Borough Council for Colchester (Silver Gilt in the Small City category).

The RHS Britain in Bloom finalists are selected from the winners of the regional In Bloom competitions, which see over 1,600 communities assessed for their efforts in the areas of horticultural achievement, community participation and responsibility.

idverde UK is pleased to be able to support its clients and local stakeholder groups in these annual awards in a range of ways, including sponsorship, plant donations and providing horticultural advice.

Clive Ivil, Director of idverde’s Communities and Open Spaces division, commented: “Recognition with three Golds and a Silver Gilt award at a national level at RHS Britain in Bloom is a huge achievement for our clients and the In Bloom groups involved. Our teams have been delighted to be able to once again add their support to this competition which helps the UK’s communities keep their local areas blooming.”
