Annie Bath

Annie's story

How long have you worked here and why did you decide on this career?

I joined idverde in 2019. This has been my first proper job since finishing studying at university. I did my degree in Geography so I already had an interest in the environment and sustainability, which is what attracted me to this position and this company.

Describe a typical day

A typical day for me involves composing responses to bids, using content from previous submissions as well as writing new content which is more specific to that particular tender. I will also often need to liaise with operational staff to complete certain aspects of the responses. The bids I work on vary from contracts within the public sector, such as local councils and schools, to corporate clients within the private sector. Each client has different expectations and requirements which need to be fulfilled.

What do you enjoy most about your job?

The people I work with are all really lovely and friendly so there’s a nice working atmosphere. Getting positive feedback and winning bids helps to motivate me and every bid that I work on is unique so that keeps my work interesting.

What might people be surprised to learn about your job?

Probably how varied it is, as all of the bids we work on have different specifications and differing quality requirements depending on the client’s desired service.
