idverde is proud to announce its recognition with both Bronze and Silver awards as part of Wiltshire Council’s SEND Employer Champion Scheme, celebrating the company’s commitment to inclusive employment and community engagement.
The awards were presented at a special celebration event held at County Hall, Trowbridge, marking the scheme’s first anniversary. The event honoured inclusive employers like idverde who are making a real difference by supporting equal opportunities and championing diversity in the workplace. Representing idverde at the event were Paul Ashman, Community Engagement Manager, and Andrew Smith, General Manager for Wiltshire
The SEND Employer Champion Scheme, led by Wiltshire Council’s Employment and Community Skills (ECS) team, recognises businesses that support young people and adults with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), including autism, in finding and maintaining paid employment. Employers can achieve Bronze, Silver, or Gold status based on their level of engagement, such as offering internships, job coaching, and workplace visits.

idverde’s partnership with Wiltshire Employment Support Team (WEST) began in November 2024 following a careers fair at Trowbridge County Hall. It was there that the team connected with Tyler, a young person enrolled in the Wiltshire Supported Internship college programme. An informal interview helped both Tyler and idverde understand how the internship could work and what support would be needed.
Tyler’s internship began in January 2025, working 16 hours per week over two days. Initially planned for 12 weeks, the placement was extended for another 12 weeks due to its success. Tyler worked primarily with the grass cutting team at the Devizes depot, supporting Wiltshire Council’s North and East areas. Although a full-time position wasn’t available at the end of the placement, Tyler’s engagement and growth throughout the internship were deeply valued by the idverde team.
