Have your say on our next charity partner

Sunday 5th September marked the International Day of Charity and idverde took the opportunity to search for our next charity partner. To get involved with the annual day, we conducted an internal vote and asked employees to vote for the charity they cared about most.

From the nominations, idverde shortlisted the top three entries. Now we need your help! We’re asking the public to cast their votes on which charity we should choose as our next partner.

Introducing the shortlisted charities

Macmillan Cancer Support

“We are millions of people affected by cancer, supporters, professionals, volunteers, and campaigners. We all have one thing in common – our care and support for people living with cancer.”

Macmillan offers a range of support for people who have been diagnosed with cancer. There are over 375,000 cases of cancer in the UK each year. With it taking an emotional and physical toll on those who have been diagnosed, it’s key to Macmillan to be there every step of the way and offer emotional, physical and financial support.

Bumblebee

Bumblebee Conservation Trust

The bumblebee population is on the decline, with two species already nationally extinct and other species on the decline

Bees play an extremely important role in the ecosystem. Most species of plants we need for food rely on pollination by bees. Food and drinks we consume daily are pollinated by bees, such as coffee, vanilla and apples.

The Bumblebee Conservation Trust’s mission is to increase the number and distribution of bumblebees. A growing number of committed supporters are helping the team make a big difference.

Help For Heroes

A recent Help for Heroes poll revealed that Armed Forces Veterans are delaying asking for help with their mental health for almost four years. Reasonings include believing civilian services will not understand or support them, and a fear of being treated differently by friends and family.

Help for Heroes focuses on aiding those who have had to leave their position in the armed forces, whether it be due to a physical or emotional wound.

With their lives drastically changed, help for heroes puts the support in place for as long as retired veterans feel they need it. This ranges from physical, psychological, financial and welfare support. The charity is also available to help the families of wounded veterans.
