The Landscape Group’s head office team held a Blooming Great Tea Party on 10th June at the Group’s headquarters in Allesley, to help raise funds for Marie Curie Cancer Care.
Our special tea party included a selection of sweet and savoury foods lovingly baked by members of the team. A ‘guess the amount of sweets in the jar’ competition also managed to get the competitive spirit stoked, with Melissa Allen, Business Development Administrator taking the prize for her well thought out guess (well done Mel!). The office munched their way to raising £53.34 for Marie Curie Cancer Care.
The money raised from our tea party will allow Marie Curie Nurses to provide more free care to people with terminal illnesses in their own homes or one of the charity’s nine hospices.
Hannah Hankinson, Office Manager, said: “We had a great time at our tea party – it’s a wonderful for the team to take a moment to get together while raising vital funds for a good cause. We’re a relatively small team here at head office so we are pleased to have raised £53.34 to help Marie Curie Nurses to provide more care to terminally ill people in the local community.”
Our tea party is one of many that have been taking place across the country as part of Marie Curie Cancer Care’s Blooming Great Tea Party campaign this June and July. As simple as a cuppa with colleagues, a vintage inspired afternoon tea, or a garden party with friends, hosting a Blooming Great Tea Party is a fun way to bring people together and raise money for Marie Curie.
