The Landscape Group (TLG) is thrilled to announce that it has been awarded six 2015 BALI National Landscape Awards.
The BALI National Landscape Awards were first introduced in 1976 and are held annually to recognise BALI members who have demonstrated exceptionally high standards of professionalism and skill in the execution of a wide variety of landscaped schemes.
Winning a BALI National Landscape Award is the pinnacle of professional achievement for BALI members. The Awards are respected in the UK and abroad as the standard to which others aspire and rightly reflect the prestige of BALI. TLG is proud to have won 71 awards since 1991.
The award wins follow an extensive judging process, with scheme entries submitted in early June followed by site visits from members of the adjudication panel.
This year’s winning entries include three Grounds Maintenance schemes and three Landscape Construction projects:
- Mandeville Place Urban Orchard Project (Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park) – Hard Landscaping Construction Cost under £300k
- Wythenshawe Hospital ‘Starlight Garden’ – Hard Landscaping Construction Cost under £300k
- West Hackney Recreation Ground – Restoration and Regeneration Scheme
- Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park – Grounds Maintenance – Free Public Access
- Jephson Gardens, Royal Leamington Spa – Grounds Maintenance – Free Public Access
- Bexhill West Parade (Next Wave) – Grounds Maintenance – Free Public Access
Greg Allen, Chair of the Adjudication Panel and Senior Lecturer in Landscape Studies at Writtle College, commented:
“Our BALI Awards judges have again travelled the length and breadth of Britain visiting some truly outstanding landscape schemes created and maintained by BALI members. The standard of workmanship achieved, whether in the domestic, commercial or public sectors, is inspiring and with so many excellent entries this year the task of selecting the Principal Award winners has taken hours of collective deliberation by the adjudication panel.”
Principal Award winners will be announced at the BALI Awards ceremony held at Grosvenor House, London on Friday 4th December.
