Trent & Dove Housing’s 10th annual ‘Impact on the Community Awards’ took place on Friday 6th November at Branston Golf & Country Club. Each year, in recognition of the vital work carried out by individual residents and local support agencies, Burton’s largest provider of social housing holds the event to celebrate unsung community champions and shine a spotlight on the projects which are ‘transforming homes, lives and neighbourhoods’ across East Staffordshire and South Derbyshire.

Trent & Dove Housing’s Chief Executive Ursula Bennion, said:
“Local residents do some amazing work to help create vibrant communities and make their neighbourhoods great places to live.
“The awards are a small way in which we can say ‘thank you’ to those who give up their time and efforts freely to work within their community.
“This year, the standard of entry has been exceptional. With almost twice the number of nominations of previous years, I know that the independent judging panel had a really hard job in picking the winners for each of the 10 categories.
“Special thanks also go to all our partners who sponsored this fantastic event. Without their generosity it would not be possible to applaud the sterling work our residents and community groups do in such a way.”
The Landscape Group carries out grounds maintenance works on behalf of Trent and Dove Housing so was pleased to be able to support these worthwhile awards. Matt Dovydaitis, Contract Supervisor for The Landscape Group attended the awards and presented a Special Recognition award to Sue and Beryl from the Warwick Street Allotment project.
“We were very pleased to be able to attend the awards and show our support to all of the fantastic organisations and individuals that make such a difference in the area. I was honoured to be asked to present an award on behalf of The Landscape Group and would like to congratulate all of the winners once again for dedicating so much time to improving the lives of others and the local environment.”
