The idverde team was excited to add this prestigious contract to add to the group’s portfolio. With such an innovative approach to buying grounds maintenance services taken by the partnership, the contract promises to be an exciting opportunity that may set the benchmark for other public organisations throughout the UK.
To meet the varied needs of each party, we have put a significant amount of work into reviewing the requirements of all three clients and devising an operational solution. The approach that we have generated aims to deliver a quality service to all, but through streamlining operations across all three client areas, achieving this at lower cost to local residents.
One of these operational solutions has been to take a neighbourhood-team approach, which will reduce travel time and allow our staff to focus on their local patch and be more responsive to local needs. This approach encourages a sense of ownership from our local teams, as well as making the most of the local knowledge within our teams.
Successes to date include the retention of three Green Flag Awards for Hastings’ Alexandra Park, St Leonard’s Gardens and Hastings Country Park, as well as the award of a prestigious British Association of Landscape Industries (BALI) Principal Award for the excellent standard of grounds maintenance at Manor Gardens in Bexhill-on-Sea.
In partnership with Optivo (formerly AmicusHorizon), Hastings Borough Council and Rother District Council, we look forward to delivering these services throughout the area and its many parks and gardens over the next ten years.
