Services idverde delivers under the contract include grass cutting, shrub, hedge and border maintenance, weed control and cleansing of hard surface areas, and ponds and streams maintenance.

The contracts is performanced-based so maintenance tasks will be carried out as frequently as is required to maintain the required standards.

Grass

  • Grassed areas shall be maintained to ensure a minimum 90% grass cover at all times. Grass shall be cut evenly to provide a uniform finish throughout and grass cuttings must be removed from all paths, roads and steps and all other similar areas
  • Fine amenity grass shall be cut to maintain a height between a maximum of 50 mm and a minimum of 25 mm throughout the growing season from the middle of March to the end of October.
  • Amenity grass shall be cut to maintain a height between a maximum of 75 mm and a minimum of 40 mm throughout the growing season from the middle of March to the end of October.
  • Semi natural grass shall be cut to maintain a height between a maximum of 150 mm and a minimum of 50 mm throughout the growing season from the middle of March to the end of October.

Beds and borders

  • Beds and borders shall be maintained in a way that presents an attractive amenity and allows development of plants to be in keeping with the type, shape, size and aspect of the bed.  All shrubs shall be pruned in a manner appropriate to the individual species.

Shrub pruning

  • Pruning will be undertaken one occasion per year. This may take place after flowering, between November and February, or during February and March, depending on shrub type.

Hedge cutting

  • Hedges will be cut on either a yearly (during October/November) or twice-yearly frequency (August and October/November).
