About the role
An opportunity has arisen for the position of three Seasonal Grounds Maintenance Operatives on a 12-month fixed term, with the possibility to extend further to join our contract within the Mendip area. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated with a flexible approach. You will be proactive, positive and professional with the ability to work well under pressure and deal with members of the public and Clients.
The ideal candidate will have a full clean driver’s license and experience of operating a wide range of ride-on and handheld powered machinery is preferred, but not essential as full training will be provided and health and safety compliance.
The role will require you to cover the Mendip contract throughout the wide geographical area within Somerset and nearby counties.
Specific responsibilities will include the following:
- Grass cutting
- Strimming
- Sweeping
- Litter picking and cleansing
- Emptying bins
- Maintenance of shrubs and flower beds
- Edging and clearing
- Hedge cutting
- Pruning
- Watering and planting
- Spraying
- Various other duties
