Rapid Response Unit Operative (Warwick)

Who are we looking for?

We are seeking two proactive and dedicated individuals to join our team as Rapid Response Unit Operatives. The ideal candidates will demonstrate a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining the cleanliness and safety of public spaces. Previous experience in a similar role or a background in environmental services would be advantageous, but full training will be provided to suitable applicants.

Key duties for the role include:

  • Removing litter, debris, and detritus
  • Investigating and clearing fly-tipping
  • Removing graffiti and fly-posting
  • Clearing weeds, overgrowth, and unwanted vegetation
  • Inspecting and clearing trash screens in shallow watercourses
  • Pressure washing footpaths and other areas
  • Strimming and hedge cutting
  • Litter picking
  • Retrieving abandoned shopping trolleys
  • Assisting with community litter picks
  • Gritting and snow clearance, including managing grit levels in bins
  • Site cleanup following the departure of traveller groups
  • House clearances
  • Installing, removing, and repairing advertisement signs
  • Delivering and collecting equipment for elections at polling stations
  • Any other cleansing-related work as requested by the Contract Administrator
