Play Inspectors

Who are we looking for?

We are seeking two diligent and passionate individuals to join our team as a Play Inspectors. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, a commitment to ensuring the safety and enjoyment of children in play areas, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Previous experience in a similar role or a background in playground safety would be advantageous but is not essential as full training will be provided.

Are you able to work independently and collaboratively within a team? If so, you may be the perfect fit for this role. You will be required to successfully complete a DBS check for this role and hold a valid driving license.

Key duties for the role include

  1. Conducting Inspections: Regularly inspecting play areas and equipment to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
  2. Identifying Hazards: Identifying potential hazards, such as broken equipment, sharp edges, or trip hazards, and taking appropriate measures to address them.
  3. Maintenance and Repairs: Coordinating maintenance and repair work for play equipment, surfaces, and surrounding areas to ensure they remain safe and operational.
  4. Documentation: Maintaining accurate records of inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities, including documenting any issues identified and actions taken.
  5. Community Engagement: Engaging with the local community to gather feedback on play areas and address any concerns or suggestions.
  6. Training and Education: Providing training and guidance to colleagues and contractors on playground safety standards and best practices.
  7. Compliance: Ensuring compliance with relevant health and safety regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
  8. Continuous Improvement: Continuously seeking opportunities to enhance play area safety, accessibility, and overall quality through innovation and best practices.
  9. Emergency Response: Responding promptly and effectively to any safety incidents or emergencies involving play equipment or facilities.
  10. Collaboration: Collaborating with colleagues, stakeholders, and external partners, such as local authorities or community groups, to achieve common goals related to play area management and safety.
