idverde – Grounds Maintenance School Team Leader

We are currently seeking an experienced Grounds Maintenance Team Leader who is keen to work and learn, be self-motivated, and be flexible to join our highly skilled and valued workforce based at our Westbury Depot.

Operative’s Objectives and Responsibilities:

  • To understand and undertake work instructions.
  • To complete assigned works within agreed timescale, to an agreed specification and idverde’s high standards.
  • To communicate clearly and positively with the General Maintenance Operations Manager to ensure efficient organisation and use of resources.
  • To ensure you always wear the correct uniform & PPE.
  • To ensure vehicles and machinery are in good working order, properly used and maintained.
  • Attend Toolbox Talks to ensure that you have fully understood and implemented all training provided.

Person Specification:

  • To have skills and knowledge of all aspects of grounds maintenance and leadership skills on sites.
  •  The ability to lead a small team.
  •  Be able to demonstrate and implement daily health & safety in the workplace.
  • The ability to read and understand maps.
  • The ability to be able to work independently but also as part of a wider team.
  • The ability can use own initiative.
  • Be able to respond to and resolve simple problems politely and professionally.
  • The ability to use machinery safely and productively.
  • Full driving licence.
