Who are we looking for?

We are looking for an enthusiastic Grave Digger to join our team based in East Staffordhsire. This is a highly varied role covering a range of activities, including grass cutting, grave digging, maintaining flower beds and shrubbery, hedge cutting and weed spraying, and other tasks required to enhance our client’s green spaces. This role will have a total working week of 40 hours and will be a permanent position.

Are you who we are looking for?

• To organise and undertake effectively and efficiently, appropriate levels of service delivery.
• To ensure that appropriate consideration is given to the beliefs of the funeral cortège, and the funeral party.
• General maintenance and horticultural landscaping duties, including the interpretation of plans and drawings.
• To ensure that all grave digging and or grounds maintenance work meets appropriate standards, as direct by the supervising office, particularly, health and safety consideration as they apply to grave digging.
• To maintain essential equipment and Depot areas in a proper condition, including the cleaning of buildings and toilets.
• To work effectively as a member of a team.
• To ensure that all graves are suitable in dimensions to receive the casket or coffin prescribed.
