Job Description
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for an Estimator to join our Housebuild Estimating team. This role offers a hybrid approach to home/office working, as such can be based near any of our main regional offices.
In this role you will produce and lead the production of priced tenders and estimates that are accurate, comprehensive, competitive and returned within deadlines through cooperation with the delivery teams.
You will establish and develop relationships with clients, architects, sales staff and operational directors. Accurate and timely production of estimates will help promote further tender invitations whilst providing clear commercial reports and price build ups to operational teams to help with project delivery.
Your success in this role can be measured in achieving sufficient levels of new work to enable the continued growth in accordance with our annual budgets and long term Business Plan.
Are you who we are looking for?
- Are you an experienced Estimator who can cost estimate a range of soft landscaping, fencing and bespoke landscaping works OR a graduate in an engineering, construction or a mathematically based subject
- If you have experience in the landscaping or wider construction industry that would be desirable
- You will have excellent mathematical ability and an analytical mind-set
- A good understanding of risk management and commercial awareness
- Experience with contractual structure, frameworks and contract negotiation
- Strong IT ability and able to use various software packages (especially Excel)
- Live within a commutable distance to one of the main idverde Housebuilder offices and could attend as and when required (Birmingham, Derby, Leigh, Reading, or York)
