We have a vacancy for a driving operative to work within our Countryside & Conservation Team in Bromley. Operating from High Elms Country Park this is an important role supporting the operational delivery of our service across the London Borough of Bromley.
This role will be varied with tasks including infrastructure repairs, vegetation management, habitat management and general park, woodland and nature reserve maintenance.
A key part of this role is to focus on the delivery of our Japanese knotweed programme as such qualifications in pesticide use are preferred but training can be provided for the right candidate. Experience and qualification in the use of pedestrian machinery such as strimmer’s and brushcutter’s are also desirable.

We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic conservation professional who appreciates and understands the importance local stakeholders and communities to the management of our green spaces. The main purpose of this role is to supervise and deliver the day to day maintenance and management of countryside sites, parks and green spaces within Bromley. The role includes a significant element of partnership working with local stakeholders including Friends Groups, volunteers, statutory bodies and our client, The London Borough of Bromley as well as ecological monitoring, fundraising, project work and volunteer supervision.
This role requires a dynamic and enthusiastic individual with a strong background in countryside management and volunteer management. The ideal candidate will have a degree in a relevant field or a comparable level of experience. Woodland management experience is preferred.
