About the role
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for a Bid Writer/Estimator to support our Business Development team to assist with the writing, accurate quantification and pricing of projects for our landscape construction team based in our London & South East region.
You will be involved in every stage of the tender process, from analysing client tenders and specifications to extracting and analysing the information and presenting for approval. You will work collaboratively with Project Managers, clients, suppliers and sub-contractors to deliver accurately priced, successful tenders, right through to handing over to our operational teams for delivery.
Are you who we are looking for?
- Good knowledge and experience of the tendering and estimating process
- Estimating experience within the construction industry is essential and relevant knowledge of the horticultural landscape/groundwork industry would be advantageous.
- A high level of IT proficiency, particularly with Microsoft Excel & Word
- Excellent numerical skills
- Ability to work to a high degree of accuracy
- Able to demonstrate professional communications at all levels
- Strong organisational skills
- The ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
