idverde UK (via its subsidiary company, Quadron) was awarded its five year grounds maintenance contract with Tandridge following a competitive tendering process and commenced working in partnership with the Council in March 2013.

The District covers 61,329 acres and idverde carries out grass cutting and other ancillary works in the parks and open spaces, together with the grounds maintenance of approximately 100 Council housing sites.

idverde is working with Tandridge to deliver the contract in a way that meets the Council’s needs in terms of quality, customer care and sustainability. Over the life of the contract we will be training resident volunteers to become involved in the contract monitoring process and utilising third sector organisations such as Groundwork to provide work experience opportunities for the long-term unemployed. New plant and equipment with environmentally friendly credentials was procured at the commencement of the contract to aid with the Council’s goal of reducing the carbon footprint generated by operations

During the tender process, Tandridge District Council emphasised the necessity of providing a high quality service for the benefit of its residents and visitors, rather than simply complying with the specification, and felt that Quadron’s partnership approach offered the best fit with this philosophy.

To ensure performance is both measured and improved upon throughout the life of the contract, we will prepare an annual service development report to summarise contract performance and highlight areas where improvements can be made, based on feedback received from the Council and its residents.
