idverde’s team of systems support staff is trained in desktop GIS software, and work across various GIS platforms including ArcGIS, MapInfo, CADCORP and Civica.  They undertake GIS mapping for local authorities, housing groups and private sector businesses, and actively promote the management of assets through GIS.

We can also assist with any survey work required using Trimble positioning software which can transfer survey data straight into GIS.

Some recent projects are outlined below:

  • For Stratford-upon-Avon District Council, the team was commissioned to re-map the Council’s highways grass cutting routes, in order to designate the grass maintenance regime on either a frequency or performance basis. Using the Council’s comprehensive asset database, the team created 97 maps for use by Council officers and our highways grass cutting team, as well as for viewing by Stratford residents on our dedicated contract website.
  • For Isle of Wight Council, we mapped out the various maintenance regimes across the island using the Authority’s asset database. GIS software was then used effectively to extract quantities and site data for each maintenance task and area, and allocate routes for each maintenance team.
  • For facilities management provider SPIE, we were commissioned to measure and map the hard and soft landscape assets of eight primary and secondary schools in Liverpool. Site visits with the contract management team built an initial understanding of site layout and features, and GIS software was then used to accurately map each location’s features.
