idverde UK is proud to announce that Lucy Fisher, Operations Director, has been named Sustainability and Biodiversity Leader at Pro Landscaper’s Sustainability and Biodiversity Awards 2025.

These prestigious awards recognise individuals and organisations driving meaningful environmental progress across the landscaping and green space management sector. Lucy’s recognition reflects not only her own leadership but also the shared values and collective commitment of everyone across idverde to shape a greener, more biodiverse future.

As Operations Director, Lucy oversees the delivery of some of the UK’s most high-profile green spaces, including The Royal Parks, Sky Garden, the Metropolitan Police, and the Houses of Parliament. Her role balances commercial performance with environmental responsibility, managing multiple contracts while embedding sustainability at every level of operations.

Lucy’s approach focuses on bridging the gap between commercial realities and environmental ambition. She has championed practical, measurable, sustainable practices, ensuring initiatives deliver genuine ecological impact and long-term value rather than serving as tokenistic exercises.

By empowering teams at every level, she has supported a culture where sustainability is a shared responsibility.

Under her leadership, Lucy has delivered tangible results across idverde’s portfolio, including:

• Industry leadership: Giving talks to over 1,000 professionals, promoting approaches that combine ecological and commercial value.
• Created and delivered bespoke sustainability action plans for clients.
• Colleague engagement: Designing and delivering sustainability workshops completed by over 150 colleagues and agency workers, now being rolled out company-wide.
• Recycling gains: The idverde team increased recycling at a major London event to 39% in a single year, with every team member actively separating waste at source, where more than 200,000 people visited the park over the weekend.
• Client collaboration: Working with partners to replace harmful de-icing products, protecting soil and water quality.
• Plastic reduction: Eliminating single-use plastic sacks across major park contracts, replacing over 8,000 annually with reusable bags made from ocean-recovered plastic. This initiative has since been rolled out at scale across multiple contracts.

Lucy’s academic achievements are extensive. She is currently studying for an MSt in Sustainability Leadership in the Build Environment at Cambridge University. She has previously completed an MSc in Sustainability at Cranfield University and an EMBA at Henley Business School. These qualifications reflect her commitment to continuous learning and to applying evidence-based practice in her daily work-life.
