idverde wins Principal Award for Grounds Maintenance at Europe’s Largest Industry Awards Event

Leading grounds maintenance and landscape creation provider, idverde, has been awarded a coveted Principal Award at the 2023 BALI (British Association of Landscaping Industries) National Landscaping Awards ceremony, held at the Grosvenor House Hotel, London.

The company’s prestigious Regent’s Park contract, one of five Royal Park contracts in the portfolio, has been recognised for excellence in grounds maintenance in the free public access category.  BALI Principal Awards are given to projects which demonstrate the most exceptional standards within the category.

Regent’s Park, which spans 395 acres, is Grade 1 listed on the register of Parks and Gardens of special historic interest and has won a Green Flag award every year since 2005, is one of London’s most popular parks, boasting London’s largest collection of roses, a boating lake, numerous sports pitches and open spaces. idverde has been responsible for grounds maintenance in the park on behalf of The Royal Parks since June 2014.

The judges commenting on the winning entry said, “The team’s approach to planting design experimentation, leading on bed regeneration and refurbishment, supporting apprenticeships and interventions to promote biodiversity are commendable and a credit to the teams involved.

‘The ongoing commitment to working in partnership between the Royal Parks and idverde teams was noted, in particular seeking out individuals with the right skills, aptitude, and passion rather than simply those with certain qualifications, as was evident in the excellent work of the greenskeeper. The overall result is a park that is maintained to a high quality which is a great testament to the team that work within it aptly led by both Dan [Eman] and Lucy [Fisher].”

idverde’s UK CEO, Kristian Lennard said: “I am delighted the hard-working team at Regent’s Park has been recognised for their work and their commitment to our on-going drive to create and maintain community spaces where people and nature thrive. This is a prestigious award for a flagship site and I am really pleased for everyone involved in making Regent’s Park such as special place.
