idverde Awarded London Borough of Hammersmith & Fulham Five-Year Contract

Grounds maintenance and landscape creation specialist, idverde is proud to have been awarded the London Borough of Hammersmith & Fulham contract for the 15th year. The award is a five-year contract with a possible five-year extension and starts on the 1st February 2022. It includes the management of parks, housing and Wormwood Scrubs. idverde will be responsible for all horticulture, grounds maintenance, sports and bereavement services as well as grounds maintenance works on all the housing estates in the Borough.

idverde will work closely with the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham to achieve carbon neutrality by 2030 as part of idverde and the council’s ongoing commitment to ecology and biodiversity. To establish a cleaner and greener Borough, idverde will introduce an all-green electric fleet such as electric vans, mowers and hedge cutters into the contract.

Recycling will also remain a key focus, with idverde planning to recycle green waste into mulch for use in shrub beds. In 2020 alone, idverde processed 80 cubic metres for recycling just from parks and open spaces, with 30 cubic metres processed from Wormwood Scrubs.

Additionally, idverde will be introducing two new exciting roles, Ecology and Community Manager and Community and Training Manager which will both play a key role in achieving idverde’s goals for a brighter, green future. These roles will aid with biodiversity and working with volunteer groups and the local community.
