Putting our people at the heart of what we do
idverde has strong family values and these help us to kindle positive working relationships which are the fundamental building blocks of the well-being of our employees.
The retention of good calibre people is key to the success of our business. We provide employees with a career and not just a job. When we recruit people, we look not only for capability, but attitude. We place great importance on our employees having a natural affinity to care about our environment, our customers and the positive impact we make on people and places.
We take great pride in the fact that many of our employees have worked in our industry for most or all of their careers and are dedicated and passionate when encouraging our new recruits. We pro-actively support apprenticeships throughout our business through our “Plant Your Own Apprentice” scheme. In 2016 we have 31 apprentices working towards NVQ levels 2 to 5 in amenity horticulture, arboriculture, land based engineering and human resources. A key element of our talent strategy is to “growing our own”, to help us retain the skill sets we require for the future.
